APPENDIX: THE MEETING HOUSE EXECUTIVE TEAM A Few Words About Our Leadership Model Conduct a survey of larger churches and you’ll find that their leadership models vary wildly. We felt it important to briefly outline how the Executive Pastor position fits into the organizational structure of The Meeting House. Our Executive Team consists of three people: our Senior Pastor, our Teaching Pastor, and our Executive Pastor. While the XP and TP report to the SP, this triad works as a team in order to cast vision, lead the staff, and make sure the institution runs well (operations). Each of the Executive Team members speak into all three aspects of the organization, but the work of primary responsibility is allocated as follows:

Vision Casting

Staff Leadership

Operations

Senior Pastor

Teaching Pastor

Executive Pastor

Teaching Pastor

Executive Pastor

Senior Pastor

Having at least two of our Executive Team members be primarily responsible for these three tasks helps us share the load of leadership and collaborate well together. This close working relationship means that team chemistry is a vital aspect of the Executive Pastor position and requires trust and loyalty within the Executive Team.
