Executive Summary for Worship CCC Worship Ministry Mission Statement: “To facilitate and teach God-honoring, lifestyle worship in our church and community by doing all things with excellence and integrity” 2016 has been a year of development and growth for our worship ministry. Our development this year focused on two areas: team/team member discipleship and leadership empowerment. Between our weekly rehearsals, monthly leadership meetings, and periodic special events, we have seen our teams and team members embrace their leadership roles and ministries, both in the church and in the community. We internally refer to each other as our “worship family” because our teams have engaged in deep and Godly relationship with one another. Our AMPLIFY events catalyzed our “worship family” throughout the year. AMPLIFY is a ministry-wide leadership development and team training event hosted by our Lay Leadership team. These events teach Biblical foundations and principles of worship as well as offer hands-on training to team members in their respective areas of service. Each event features guest keynote speakers, specialized breakout workshops, intimate worship and prayer, and valuable relationship building. Held three times per year, AMPLIFY is our most important ministry equipping and discipleship initiative within our ministry. Our lay leadership team currently consists of 10 servant leaders - each one being stretched in their own leadership and discipleship. Also, as a part of our ministry’s commitment to be a platform for personal development, we have continued to be invested in training up and equipping worship leaders. This year, we’ve had 10 people engage in our worship leader development track. Praise the Lord! We are seeking God’s wisdom as to how we can develop a more intentional training program for aspiring worship leaders in our community. Would you pray with us about this? Our growth this year, while not overwhelming in quantity (compared to 2015), has been significant and strategic in quality. This year, the Worship Ministry has grown to consist of 6 major teams: Lay leadership, Vocal Teams (Worship Choir & “Front Line” singers), Band, Production Crew, Care and Appreciation, and Visual Artists. 106 men and women faithfully serve in various capacities on these 6 teams, working to advance the kingdom of God through CCC’s 2020 vision. Our Visual Arts team is one of our most exciting areas of strategic growth. This group of about 20 are wonderfully skilled in their various art forms and possess beautifully creative minds. This team has hosted two art displays at CCC, held numerous workshops and events in the community, engaged in self-initiated social gatherings, and established their own Life Group. We are reclaiming the visual arts for Christ! Another major step forward for us this year was to put in place an internship program. Our first summer intern served at CCC for 5 week as an aspiring Sound/Production Engineer. Having learned some wonderful things from a successful first time out, we are happy to announce that we’ll be partnering with Liberty University’s Internship program starting in 2017. Our Worship “umbrella” continues to expand to include ministry presence in Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, and Outreach. You’ve seen those beautiful kiddos rocking out on the front row in “big church”. But what you may not have seen is the exciting, noisy, energetic worship services that we hold inside the Children’s Ministry wing once per month. We have partnered with our Student Ministry to build a student-led worship team. The addition of Jordan Weniger as a full-time staff member in early 2016 has been a significant step toward this goal. Regarding Outreach, we have begun to partner with CCC’s Outreach Ministry by working to include worship-focused team members on each of CCC’s short-term missions trips, as well as supporting various local and regional ministry events. Please check out some stats on the Worship Ministry’s 2016 journey below. You can also see a few of the “BHAGS” (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) that the Lord has placed upon our hearts for the growing breadth and depth of the CCC Worship Ministry. Please prayerfully consider ministering with us or inviting someone else to minister with our teams. We often hear this kind of response: “You guys look like you have it all under control. You don’t really need me.” In short, YES WE DO! Our team members across every team are faithfully serving. We want to honor their service and not burn anyone out. If you’re gifted in music, technology,

organization, the arts, leadership, creativity, and/or care, please ask the Lord if He would have you join one of our teams for a season. “BHAGS” (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) - Partner with our missionaries around the world to train worship leaders in their cultures - Help the Body of Christ in other countries to discover their own “heart” and “song” for worship by training and encouraging song writing in their own languages - Hold regular “Nights of Worship” at CCC - dedicated evenings to shout and dance before our King, soaking in His presence and seeking his direction - Host two concerts per year - Establish a Creative Planning team to assist Pastor Dean with series creativity/design - Live streaming video of our weekend worship services - Much-needed improvement of our “overflow” space - “Teach us, Lord, how to praise you wholeheartedly!” 2016 Worship Ministry at a Glance - 106 members comprising 6 teams - 3 dedicated “worship” staff (Pastor, Tech.
