Expedition 5th-8th Grade Camp Sample Itinerary SeaWorld Expedition 5th-8th Grade Camp promotes physical and intellectual growth through challenging experiences. Using an active learning approach, campers will gain an appreciation for the natural environment and also form a solid foundation of confidence, self-esteem, and responsibility. Our goal and responsibility is to ensure a successful experience at SeaWorld Expedition 5th-8th Grade Camp that campers can draw from in the classroom, at home, and throughout life. DAY 1

Arrive at SeaWorld San Antonio from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to meet your SeaWorld counselors and fellow campers for program orientation. After orientation all campers will go into the park for roller coasters, shopping, and show watching. Pizza dinner will be served around 6 p.m. followed by preparation for the next day.

DAY 2

PINNIPED DAY Introduction to SeaWorld San Antonio Learn about pinnipeds and endangered species Feed & observe sea lions View Sea Lion, Otter, and Walrus show Talk by pinniped trainers Study endangered species at Sea World Visit Aquatica Water Park

DAY 3

BIRD DAY Uncover a unique variety of birds Feed and observe birds in Roa’s Aviary in Aquatica Tour the Penguin Encounter& meet a penguin Talk with bird keepers Sleepover at Penguin Encounter

DAY 4

WHALE DAY Discover whales and dolphins by observing dolphins View White Whale & Dolphin show and Shamu show Talk by dolphin & whale trainers Learn how dolphins are rescued along the coast

DAY 5

FISH DAY Study differences between bony fish and sharks Tour the Explorer’s Reef exhibit Tour Behind the Scenes Support Areas and touch a bamboo shark Wade with stingrays at Ke Re Reef in Aquatica Dissect a squid

DAY 6

Breakfast is provided at SeaWorld. Gather your gear and say farewell to your new SeaWorld friends. Program concludes at 10 a.m.
