There is always more at ____________than what you think. Can I really trust ____________? Is he clued in to my real needs? Will ____________ do what he ____________? Is he who he really says he is? Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Jesus ____________ did not just pay our penalty of sin, but removed the ____________ sin has over us. We now have ____________ to say no instead of going down again. Jesus temptation in the wilderness: 1. To meet ____________ need in ____________ way 2. Use ____________to accomplish his own ____________ 3. Do the ____________ thing at ____________ time and wrong way, and to take a ____________ cut Jesus had to ask himself….can ____________ be trusted? Can I trust my ____________ father. Three things at stake with temptation: 1. ____________ 2. ____________ 3. ____________ Statement to remember: “Temptation, you will not steal my future, you will not steal my family, and you will not steal my faith” I’m not going to feel like I have to give in to temptation and I don’t have a choice….I’m going to address it ________ on.
