Living Church​ is searching for a ​Facilities & Event Specialist ​for our  Mansfield, TX​ campus. In this role, you will provide general janitorial support  to ensure the cleanliness, safety and functionality of our facilities.  Additionally, you will perform basic labor tasks to prepare and conduct  seamless transitions of various scheduled and unscheduled ​events/services​;  both on-campus and off-campus, as needed to achieve our vision and  mission.      What you will do:  Facility Responsibilities:  ● Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organization and  appearance of all church facilities to include: church lobby,  auditoriums, classrooms, portables, kitchen, on site and off site  storage, restrooms, workrooms, parking lot and offices  ● Utilize cleaning solvents and other tools to perform general janitorial  maintenance such as scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning  and vacuuming  ● Collect and transport all garbage to the onsite dumpster  ● Clean and restock restrooms (soap and paper products)  ● Clean all entry door glass and remove smudges  ● Maintain and report supply inventory needs to your immediate  supervisor  ● Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by practicing  clean-as-you-go procedures  ● Perform routine facility maintenance activities to include but not  limited to: light bulb replacement, painting, air freshener cartridge  replacement, minor plumbing and electrical issues.  ● Coordinate facility repairs beyond your scope of maintenance skills  with your immediate supervisor   ● Ensure pest control systems are operating effectively and report any  problems to your supervisor  ● Remove safety hazards from pedestrian walkways and parking lots 

● Keep church grounds free of litter and debris    Event/Services Responsibilities:  ● Clean, prepare and set-up church facilities as designated within our  automated “Resources” events workflow; this includes proper  placement of reusable goods, tables, chairs and specialty equipment  (AV, dry erase boards and signage)  ● Refresh church facilities in-between events/services by spot cleaning  and returning equipment to its proper location  ● Complete final breakdown of church events/services, by cleaning and  vacuuming church facilities and returning equipment to its proper  location, this includes storing reusable goods, breaking down tables,  chairs and specialty equipment  ● Operate and utilize the church work truck and trailers as needed to  pick-up, transport, drop-off and store event support equipment  ● Utilize basic mechanical skills to assemble, set-up, and disassemble  event equipment    General Responsibilities:  ● Ensure appearance is clean and professional  ● Maintain positive working relationships with others and support team  members to ensure team objectives are met  ● Carry out specific oral or written instructions  ● Remain flexible and adjust to ever changing priorities  ● Display good customer relation skills and take the initiative to greet  guests in a friendly manner  ● Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your  immediate supervisor  ● Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and protect church  assets  ● Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards  ● Follow attendance policy, show up on time and be ready to work 

● Complete closing duties to include turning off all lights, adjusting  HVAC settings, locking all exterior doors, locking portable building  doors and setting the alarm    What you will need:  ● High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or  at least one year related work experience  ● Valid Drivers Licenses  ● Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment  ● Basic knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals  ● Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and janitorial techniques  ● Basic computer knowledge  ● Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less  than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance  ● Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead and below the knees,  including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping  ● Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time   ● Ability to follow written or verbal instructions  ● Ability to demonstrate attention to detail  ● Ability to solve routine problems  ● Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills  ● Ability to work independently with little to no supervisory involvement  ● Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment  ● Ability to work extended hours to include evenings, weekends and  holidays in order to complete assigned work   ● Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment   ● Ability to work well in a team environment  ● Ability to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving  instructions: must get along with co-workers without exhibiting  behavioral extremes; perform work activities requiring reasoning,  negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and  responding appropriately to criticism from a supervisor
