Battery Tips Store batteries at room temperature. You should not carry batteries loose in your pocket or purse. If batteries come in contact with metal objects such as coins, keys, or other batteries it may short out, leak, or in rare instances even rupture. Fresh batteries are best. When batteries sit on a shelf in warehouses or in the store they slowly lose their energy. Temperature fluctuations and air slowly seeping into the battery can affect the life of the battery as it sits.

Michael Petroka, Au.D. Dr. Petroka grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia when he was in junior high. He lived in California for 12 years and recently relocated to Middle TN with his wife and 4 kids. He received his B.S. from Radford University and his Master’s Degree in Audiology from California State University. He recently received his Doctoral Degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University. He enjoys basketball, golf, and watching the Titans!

Healthy Hearing Program At MTENT, we are committed to giving our patients excellent service; therefore, we have started our Healthy Hearing Program. Included in this great new program are batteries for the life of your devices (1 pack per week per device), clean and checks of your devices every 4 months, and minor in-office repairs. All at no cost to you! With the purchase of new hearing devices you automatically become part of this program. If you have recently purchased devices you may be able to buy into the program.
