FACILITY-BASED BIBLE STUDIES Sunday Evening Study

Looking at the challenges faced by followers of Christ then and now. We will sit with the word of God and learn how to better walk with God, walk more like Jesus, and walk with each other. Led by Hillary Wesney. No cost for the study, but $40 if needing childcare. Starting September 12th.

Dust to Glory – by R.C. Sproul 9:15-11 AM, Room 125

What does it look like to be a disciple of Jesus? This three-part series using the Apostles creed as a roadmap, grapples with the core of our faith through the lens of Genesis and Mark. For new, mature and not yet believers. Led by Courtney Sneed. Starting September 10th.

Come experience a unique study tour that explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. Dust to Glory provides a starting point to help you understand the content of the Bible. It can energize your study of the Bible, provide you with new insights, and improve your ability to read, understand, and apply Scripture to your life.

Monday Evening Study Sermon on the Mount - by Jen Wilkin 7-9 PM, Room 125 What does it mean to be a citizen of the kingdom of Heaven? The Sermon on the Mount articulates what the life of a Christ follower should look like. In this study, we will examine the words of Jesus in-depth as He challenges us to think differently about repentance, salvation, and sanctification. Led by Mary Elzinga. Cost $15. Starting September 11th.

Led by the teaching team of Katie Drake, Jill Hostvedt, Eva Mack, Katie Marchese, Cheryl McMordie, and Char Tomer. Cost $20. Plus $40 if needing childcare. Starting September 12th.

Wednesday Morning Study Discerning the Voice of God - by Priscilla Shirer 9:30-11:30 AM, Room 125 By growing closer to God through His Word, participants will be able to discern God’s voice, language, character, and tone. We will learn to understand how God’s voice reveals his plan, and how to respond and wait on the Lord. Led by Angela Johnson. Starting Oct 4th.

Thursday Afternoon Study Faithful Friends Steadfast Love - by Lauren Chandler 12:15 – 2 PM, Room 125 Learn to face both storms and deserts with courage and trust in Jesus, and discover how tests in our journeys of faith reveal the true condition of our hearts. For there is no fear for the one who fears the Lord, the one whose soul is anchored in His steadfast love. Led by Jean Muller and a team of small group leaders. Cost $20. Friday Morning Studies Precept on Precept Exodus: Let my People Go 9-11 AM, Room 125 Watch Moses develop as a leader. See God deliver His people by judging their enemies. Learn powerful truths about His ways. A remarkably practical study of deliverance, redemption, the Law, and the Tabernacle. Led by Lurleen Worthington and Jen Smulling. Cost is $25. Starting September 15.

Coffee Time The Forgotten God - by Francis Chan 9:30 -12 Noon, Room 205 Today's church admires the gift of the Holy Spirit, but have we neglected to open it? Chan tears away the wrapping paper and the ribbons to uncover the source of the believing community's true power for witness and service. He issues a compelling invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Spirit of the living God. Led by Judi Morgan. This study is continuing from the Spring session. New comers are always welcome. Cost is $20 only if you need a book. Starting September 15.

MOCA -Mothers of College-Aged: Do you have a child in College? Is the transition to far away parenting difficult? Are you wondering if an empty nest will ever feel good? Join us as we navigate these new waters together leaning on the Lord and each other. Meeting once a quarter from 7-9 PM. Check the Women’s Ministry Facebook page and the Weekly for date, time and location.

“Wednesday Evening with Marybeth” Starting October 11th. Topic to be determined.

Other Activities for Women

These Bible studies are announced throughout the year. They begin and end at various times so watch the Weekly and the website for study times and dates. Key study groups to keep an eye on:

Life Transition Groups MOPS -Mothers of Preschoolers, Birth thru Kindergarten: Are you feeling overwhelmed one minute and overjoyed the next as you parent your little ones? Would you like a few quiet hours of encouragement each month to fellowship with other moms and enjoy adult conversation? If your answer is yes, MOPS is for you! Meeting the first Thursday of the month OctoberMay from 9:15-11 AM. Registration forms are available at the Welcome Desk or on the church website. MIMS-Mothers in the Middle: Mothers of school-aged children coming alongside one another to seek God's desire for parenting while encouraging one another in this journey.

Meeting the second Thursday of the month October-May from 9:30-11 AM. MOTS -Mothers of Teens: Our teens are bombarded with more and more pressures making parenting at times, a steep uphill climb. Know you are not alone on the journey. Join us as we discuss the joys and concerns of parenting teens. Meeting the third Thursday of the

month October-May from 12:30 – 2:30 PM.

Girls Night In: Get to know the other women of Covenant. Join us for a time of fun and fellowship with a goal. Together we will look at some aspect of being a Christian woman in today’s world while getting to know the other women on this journey. Oct 9th, Feb. 5th, May 7th from 7 PM – 9 PM. Comedy Café: Dec 4th with Comedian Leann Morgan. Tickets go on sale Nov 15th. Women's Night of Prayer at Covenant: Join us as we go before the Lord together for the things on our hearts and minds. Dates will be

posted in the Worship Program and Covenant Weekly as they occur.

S.O.S Service or Silliness: A once a month activity where our women are called into short term service opportunities or fun fellowship opportunities. Announcement of activity made only on the Women’s Ministry Bible Blast and Facebook page. Stitching In His Name: Women who love to serve the Lord by knitting and crocheting scarves, blankets, sweaters, and other items for those in need. Women in the Word - October 13-14 405 N. Easton Road Willow Grove, PA 19090 A workshop designed to help women study Scripture in a way that is informed, reasoned, and reverent — strengthening both those who teach and those who study on their own. In large group sessions and interactive study groups, this annual event focuses on women helping women interpret, apply, and present the Bible to others. Register at WomenintheWordWorkshop.org.

Registration closes September 26th. Dare To Be Conference --Jan 27th at the Christian Life Center in Bensalem, PA: An evening event designed for women of ALL ages. Natalie Grant and Charlotte Gambill prayerfully sculpt the night around worship, music, and two full Bible teaching sessions. At Dare To Be you’re able to experience the fullness of a multi-day women’s conference, but wonderfully jampacked into an affordable, three-hour, one-night event. Doors open at 6:30 pm. We have purchased 40 tickets. Cost is $25. First come, first served. Tickets will be available at the Ministry Block Party, Sunday, September 10th.
