What is Anomaly Weekend? The definition of Anomaly is a deviation from the common rule, type, arrangement or form. Our hope and prayer is that students would experience true life change, and that this would be more than just a normal weekend. Our desire is for students to experience God which allows transformation to take place in their lives, allowing them to make a difference in the world around them. Each person that is in Christ is an Anomaly, not something that is normal, but has deviated from the norm, standing out, and becoming a change agent. Why not call it Disciple Now? The prayer and vision of Anomaly Weekend is bigger than just a youth event that takes place over a weekend. To say that Anomaly Weekend is a great event would be selling short our hope and prayers. We want to see Anomaly Weekend be a moment in the life of a student which goes beyond their normal life into a life of following Christ. We want students to see this weekend as an opportunity to step out of their normal lives into something greater than themselves and transforms them beyond just a weekend retreat. Anomaly is a better way to describe our vision for students and the experience they have over the weekend. (Romans 12:1-2) Is it too late to register? We register students for Anomaly all the way up until the Friday night of the event. However, there are some advantages to registering early (guaranteed to get a shirt, house with friends, we are able to adequately plan events around an accurate number of participants.) Where and how do we register? Registration envelopes are located at the Welcome Center in the Rotunda and in The Curb. You can drop off the envelope in the dropbox located in The Curb foyer or in the Church office during regular business hours. Can we pay online? Yes. By going to anomaly.fbcallen.org; however, you will still need to complete and turn in the registration forms, just note “paid online”.

What is the time and location of the kick-off? The schedule of the events is on the next page. We will have a kick-off rally on Wednesday night and Friday begins the weekend retreat. What can students bring? A “what to bring” list as well as a “what not to bring” list is attached. This list will also be provided for students at the Wednesday night kick-off rally. What part can parents come to? We encourage parents to be a part of the Main Sessions. During the Main Sessions, parents are invited to sit up in the balcony to be a part of the worship and talks at that time. There are also volunteer opportunities which allow parents to interact with students. We need parents to help provide and serve meals, transportation and greet during the Main Sessions. A sign-up sheet is available online.
