WMPC provides 70 sack lunches once a month for Raleigh Rescue Mission’s Sunday Sack Lunches program. All we need are willing hands to make and pack the lunches. Everything will be provided.

We will assemble literacy rings and make bookmarks for WakeUp and Read.

SUNSCREEN NEEDED IN MARCH

If you are homeless, being outdoors much of the time can create challenges in all seasons. As weather begins to turn warmer, sunscreen will become important to those who are exposed to the elements. Please help by bringing in sunscreen for the month of March and place in the collection bin in The Connector.

Sanctuary | Today | Sunday, February 24 | 3:00 p.m. George Deaton, Wade Henderson and Timothy Sparks founded Three Triangle Tenors in 2009 with collaborative pianist Thomas Warburton. Their popular performances have been presented from the Piedmont to the coast in central and eastern North Carolina. The three tenors and Thomas Warburton are delighted to present a concert of songs and arias during the inaugural season of the White Memorial Presbyterian Church concert series. Their repertory encompasses folk songs, religious songs and arias, songs and ensembles from Broadway musicals and movie scores, opera arias and ensembles, and Neapolitan songs. The individual performers have been involved in opera, oratorio, recital and teaching not only in the Triangle area, but also elsewhere in the United States and in Europe.

OBERLIN ROAD ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Join together with friends along Oberlin Road for our annual Ash Wednesday service. The service will be March 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and have the imposition of ashes. This is a great time of worship and shared faith. Childcare will be available for ages three and younger.

You will not want to miss our Winter Retreat! MaryAnn McKibben Dana will teach us to use the tools of improv to help us navigate life when things don’t go according to our plans. The weekend kicks off with a workshop from 9:00 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, March 16 in Geneva Hall. A cash love offering will be collected for a continental breakfast being served beginning at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday, March 17, MaryAnn will teach an Adult Sunday School Class at 9:30 a.m. in Geneva Hall and preach at the 11:00 a.m. worship service in the Sanctuary. MaryAnn was our Theologian-in Residence in 2016 and we loved her! The Adult Faith Formation committee is excited to welcome MaryAnn back.
