Just Ask The Dog A dog makes devotion look as if it is the best part of life. And why shouldn't it be? Using dogs as a playful yet powerful image of devotion, David Teems gives us a glimpse of what the devoted life can and should be for each of us. Thank You For Coming

From Our Pastor

If you are our guest, we have a special gift for you after today’s service. So that we can get to know you better, please fill out both sides of this tear-off section and bring it to the Information Center near the columns. We have a gift bag ready for you.

Welcome to First Baptist Church. We trust that the worship service will inspire and encourage you, but most of all lead you to worship our Heavenly Father. If you are our guest, please take a moment before the service begins to complete the guest registration found in this bulletin. Tear at the dotted line when complete and bring to the Information Desk in exchange for a gift. If you prefer, you can just place the registration card in the offering plate. We look forward to meeting you.

We are continuing our series this morning on Defining Moments. Our lives are sprinkled with defining moments—moments that shape the rest of our lives, moments that are so important that the rest of our lives hang in the balance of these moments. We are studying from Scripture some of these defining moments that dot our lives. You may not experience every single one of them, but you will experience most of them. So far, we have started with our physical births and our spiritual births. If we are going to talk about moments in life that define us, it seems reasonable and practical to start with our births—both physical and spiritual. Today, we will consider the defining moment of marriage. Michael O’Brien, our musical guest from last night’s Tour de Romance, is also with us to lead us in worship. Church, thank-you seems incredibly inadequate to express my feelings toward you in your response this week to our decision to expand our Christian school to include a high school. Throughout this process, I have asked the Lord, above all things, for Christian maturity displayed by unity. You have displayed that, and I am thankful. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
