The Daisy troop is a group of 1st graders who are working on their Service Project. The food drive benefitted the Northwest Assistance Ministries in Spring. The girls collected a total of 161.5 pounds of food and $72.00 in cash donations.

Seniors Group of Legends Ranch
The last few months have been busy for everyone. Getting ready for grandkids going back to school, picking up babysitting duty again for some, and the events we attend and things we schedule for each month. Not to mention our Game Nights and the holidays.
In September, we had Game Night at the home of Paulette & Greg Orticke, which was an excuse to celebrate Greg’s birthday. On October 15th, Irene & Pete Scioneaux welcomed us at their house for game night. We had lots of fun and food, and as always had a great time together. On the 19th, we toured the Montgomery County Food Bank. We took donations from the group and donated 32 lbs of food and about $275. We also signed up to go help with food preparation (checking for out-of-date items, sorting, etc.) Some folks didn’t go to last years Ghost Tour of Old Town Spring, so we went again on November 5th after we ate at Big “E” McGee’s. Believe in it or not, it is great fun and we get great pictures. Some of us went to the Holiday Market in the Woodlands on the 19th.

In December, we went to Galveston’s Grand Opera House to see “A Christmas Tuna”, and ate dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf. We also had our Christmas get together at the home of Cheryl Sumstad. If you are 50 or older, please come join us. Not only do we have fun and enjoy the company of wonderful friends and neighbors, we care enormously about the neighborhood. We are active with our POA member representatives and make suggestions or report problems when needed. Some events planned for 2011 are to tour NASA on February 3rd, visit George Ranch, the Houston Observatory, the Brenham area, plays, museums, and other events we can find. We invite you to share these things with us. Regular meetings are the third Friday of the month, 1:30 p.m. at the clubhouse.
