Here, in the heart of a busy downtown, Discovery Green® is a beautiful green oasis where more than a million Houstonians and visitors discover art, relax with family and enjoy outdoor movies, concerts, festivals and simple pleasant moments in the shade. This acclaimed urban park is the result of an innovative public-private partnership between the City of Houston, Houston First Corporation and the Discovery Green Conservancy. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, the Discovery Green Conservancy maintains the park and a vibrant schedule of more than 500 events each year, most of which are offered free to the public, with the help of a generous giving community.
