Ministry Highlights August 18, 2019 Service Times: 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.

All Church Picnic - Next Sunday following the Service, August 25 One Service – One Family On August 25, there will be only one service at 10:30 a.m! The Church Picnic to follow from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The church will provide the meat, beans and drinks. Please bring a SIDE and a DESSERT for your family plus 2 people. There will be waterslides, inflatables, games, and door prices. Also, bring your chairs, blanket, and umbrellas to stay cool. Towels as needed. Be a Part of Pray For Me! September 29, we kick off our 5th year of the Pray for Me campaign: where adults of all generations commit to praying for our youth for the next year. Youth & adults can sign up to be a part of this awesome relationship in the youth room or connection center. Then, show up for our launch event on 9/29 from 12-1pm and let's shake this community with our prayers! Shoebox Recipient Open House: Friday, August 23 You are invited to hear Anabel Rosario Fermin's dramatic story how a shoebox, filled with love and simple gifts, brought hope and showed God's faithfulness. Anabel received her shoebox in the Dominican Republic at the age of ten. Join us from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the Rocky Mountain Ministry Center, 8648 S Peoria St. Promo materials, prizes, refreshments. CHILDREN’S MINISTRY AWANA’s Open House Pre-Registration: Sunday August 25 Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a longterm impact on our world for Christ. Those kids who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Time to get registered for the 2019-2020 Awana season! Awana meets on Sunday from 3.55 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for kids in preschool through 12th grade. Preschoolers must be 3 and potty trained by the start of Awana. WOMEN’S MINISTRY New Focus for MOM2MOM: September 13 Mom2Mom has exciting new opportunities for this season. We will focus on one on one relationships by pairing more experienced moms with moms who are looking for a sister who is a little older in her walk with Jesus and her motherhood. If you would like to have this kind of a relationship, please come for dessert at 6:30 p.m. on September 13 to hear about this great opportunity for personal growth. Whether you are a younger mom or a mom whose chicks have flown the coop, please join us to hear more about how you can be involved. Please sign up at the Connection Center to save your place. Childcare will be provided, but you must sign up. Women’s Bible Fall Studies: starting September 10/11 Precepts: Isaiah is the crown jewel of Old Testament prophets. Prophecies from Isaiah are mentioned in 22 places in the New Testament including statements by Christ, Himself. Classes begin September 10/11, Tuesday evenings (6:30-8:30 p.m.) or Wednesday mornings (9:0011:00 a.m.). W2W: This fall Woman 2 Woman will be studying from the book Jeremiah: Daring to Hope in an Unstable World with Melissa Spoelstra. MEN’S MINISTRY Men’s Retreat: Friday - Sunday, October 4-6 The 2019 Men’s Retreat will be held at Quaker Ridge Camp in Woodland Park, Colorado. We will be teaming up with Crossroads Church in Parker. Early registration is $99.00 by Labor Day, and regular registration is $125.00. The theme will be “Getting Intimate with God”. Saturday afternoon will be free time for things like shooting ranges, hiking, mountain biking (for a fee), frisbee golf, etc. It will be a great time to have fun and fellowship. Don’t miss it! YOUTH MINISTRY - Eleven:18 High Schoolers: 2019 Fall Retreat, October 11-13 High School Fall Retreat is just around the corner, October 11-13. Join us for a fantastic weekend in the mountains, focusing on Jesus and community. $160 per person; you can grab a registration form in the youth room. Be sure to turn it in by September 29. Youth & Family Dinner: Sunday August 18, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A new school year means a new season of ministry here at eleven:18. Let’s get everyone together to celebrate, consider what the year ahead holds, pray, and get excited about what God has in store for us in the 2019-2020 academic year!
