We are looking for a highly professional Finance Assistant to work with the Financial Business Partner for the financial accounting, budgeting, planning and protection for the SAE UK region. The function will support and maintain financial policies and management information systems, working on all aspects of financial management and performance. They will also support other administrative duties for other Proofessional Services, i.e. HR, where required. Essential Criteria: • AAT qualified, part qualified or working towards CIMA/ ACCA, or qualified by experience • Experience in the use of accounting specific software (Oracle, Hyperion) • Advanced Excel skills • Accuracy and attention to detail • Must have right to live and work in UK. 3. Overview and Objectives of the Position The position of Finance Assistant will work with the Finance Business Partner to apply the principles of accounting to provide the financial information necessary for the planning and financial integrity of SAE UK.

5. Key accountabilities: Debtors i.
Generate insightful weekly debtors report for use by SAE UK Student Experience Officers (SEOs) who perform creditor control functions for SAE Campuses
ii.
Closely monitor debt balances and liaise with external debt collection agency as required
iii.
Work with Student Experience Officers to ensure that student payment plans are in place and are being appropriately monitored
System/data integrity and process improvement iv.
Liaise with Shared Services Centre to ensure the correct processing of all SAE UK AR, AP and GL activities
v.
Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and the student database for accuracy of data
vi.
Assist in ensuring the integrity of the UK statutory accounts, ensuring that the financial accounts are accurate and best practice financial accounting processes and controls are operating at all times
vii.
Assist in training new staff on finance processes and procedures - particularly with regard to iProc and iExpenses
viii.
Work with the Finance Business Partner and Campus Managers to drive the continuous improvement of SAE UK’s financial health

Assist in the analysis of financial results for SAE UK

Reconcile student invoicing and recognition of revenue on a monthly basis within the stipulated timeframe for completion of month end accounts

Review and where necessary process transactions to student accounts (i.e. correction entries, withdrawal/ penalty payment plans, sponsorships, bursaries)
Budget / Forecast Assistance xii.
Assist as directed and where required in the preparation of data for the UK’s Rolling Plan budgets with the Finance Business Partner and Campus Managers

Assist in creating, implementing and monitoring processes and procedures around the creation of latest estimate forecasts
xiv.
Assist in the monthly capex investment requests to ensure within budget and aligned with curriculum development and student recruitment targets;

Assist in providing financial advice and information to the Finance Business Partner, Campus Managers and other internal stakeholders as required

Assist the Finance BP in the production of regular and timely reports, financial analysis and modelling, to enable planning, decision-making and control

Ensure Finance timetable is adhered to including but not limited to:a) Assisting in the production of three year financial forecast for the regulatory

Take responsibility for ensuring appropriate approvals are in place for purchases

Take ownership of the annual inventory count by liaising with campus managers and process adjustments (disposal and subsequent gain/loss) as necessary
