Financial Controller Position Summary Reports to Group Finance Director, a key member of the finance department in the corporate office. Core responsibilities           

Lead, coach and mentor the accounting team of the hotels in the Group. Identify and execute on business process improvement and efficiencies. Review and analyse financial results and prepare commentaries on group performance. Prepare internal management reports Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting Oversee the implementation and continuous review of financial system, procurement system and the related integration to the front-office system. Review and develop group policies and provide related training to ensure compliance by all hotels. Manage the preparation of annual statutory accounts for hotels in the Group to ensure compliance with the local/international accounting standards and local regulatory requirements. Assist in the merger and acquisition projects including financial due diligence and projections. Manage treasury operations including cashflow forecasts. Liaise with the auditors, bankers, legal advisors and relevant authorities across the region.

Candidate Profile      

Holds a Degree in Accountancy or Finance. Qualified CPA or ACCA. Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a leadership role within hospitality industry. Previous experience of setting up or developing a Finance Department and providing financial control across a group of companies would be beneficial Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels Proficiency in English is essential, both written and spoken. Well-versed in Mandarin would be advantageous to liaise with hotel counterparts in China.
