Fabreeka® Hi-Fidelity Vibration Isolation Tables

Vibration Isolation Tables and Platforms

for Hi-Fidelity Audio Equipment

Providing Good Vibrations of the Hi-Fi Variety

Precision-Aire™

Pneumatic Vibration Isolation Platforms External vibrations are the plague of Hi-Fidelity equipment. This is a paradox of sorts, since a Hi-Fi system reproduces the sound of music in the home, and sound is nothing more than waves of vibration! Vibration (the essence of music) can actually debilitate the Hi-Fi (the carrier of music). The solution is to isolate the Hi-Fi from any sources of unwanted vibration.

The HF/HFP series ISO Tab-L platforms are ideal for isolating unwanted vibration and shock, which can exist in your home or studio. Vibration isolation is provided in the vertical and horizontal axes by pneumatic isolators located beneath the top surface. A protective shroud is supplied on all models, which is isolated with the top surface and protects the isolation platform from accidental jarring or bumping.

Structural vibration in the floor can cause resonant frequencies in support frames and shelving to vibrate. Shock created by footfalls and slamming doors do the same. Moreover, when music blasts from your speakers, the vibrations not only hit your ears, but also your stereo equipment. The circuits in a CD player, a turntable or amplifier transmit the audio signals from the disc or vinyl record as analog wave forms. The vibrations from your speakers, as well as the external vibrations add "jitter" and distort the wave forms creating a duller, blurrier sound.

The compact design enables a working height of 4" and will support power amps and other Hi-Fi equipment weighing up to 80 lbs (36 Kg). Each HF or HFP series ISO Tab-L requires an air supply of no more than 50 psi (3.4 bar). Access to inflate/deflate the platform is provided by convenient ports located on the side of each unit.

In summary, you don't hear all of the music on your disk or vinyl record.

An HF/HFP series isolation platform weighs significantly less than other platforms with steel tops. Maximum weight is only 74 lbs (33 Kg).

If you are using the passive table (HFP series), leveling of the platform surface is performed via the control knobs located on the front of each unit. If you are using the active table (HF series), leveling is automatic. The top surface of the HF/HFP series isolation platform is black, polished granite. Granite has better inherent damping qualities than steel, eliminating the "ringing" or "tuning fork" effect associated with steel plates.

Protective shroud is available in maple, oak, cherry, black and stainless steel to match your existing speakers, shelving and Hi-Fi furniture. Easy to adjust control knobs level the surface of the isolation platform (HFP series only) 2

General Specifications The HF and HFP series vibration isolation platforms are 20” x 24”; however, custom dimensions are available to meet your application requirements. All models are supplied with a black, polished granite top.

Vibration Isolation Characteristics

The HF/HFP series were designed to offer the best isolation possible for Hi-Fidelity equipment. The test data above shows the HF series isolation performance as compared to the Vibraplane platform. 3

Fabreeka® also manufactures free-standing vibration isolation tables, which can be designed into highend LP turntables and other Hi-Fi equipment. These tables provide greater isolation than the platformstyle tables. Vertical and horizontal natural frequencies are as low as 1.0 Hz.

The table can be provided with a cable management system. This system secures electric cabling in a foam grip, which reduces vibration induced by the cables that are brought to the isolated surface.

Isolated top surface is available in granite or epoxy damped, black laminated steel

Precision leveling valve Standard, 19-inch, rack mountable panels are integrated into the table for instrument accessories

Each table includes covers to match your existing equipment.

Ultra-quiet compressor

Fabreeka® International has been a leader in the field of shock and vibration control since 1936. Our corporation provides passive and active, shock and vibration engineered, low frequency vibration control systems worldwide. The reliable performance of our isolation systems is proven by sound engineering principles and tested performance. Fabreeka® is more than a manufacturer of isolators. We solve your vibration and shock problems. Contact us at any one of our worldwide facilities for assistance.

Fabreeka's® ultra-quiet (just 35 dB at 1M) compressors are clean, portable and provide all the air you need with plenty to spare - even when you run multiple isolation platforms or tables. The compressor operates intermittently based on air usage, monitored by a sensor that maintains the reserve tank's pressure at a preset minimum. Safety valve, fittings and filter/regulator unit come standard.
