Milton’s Center for Athletic Advising will be TAPPS “go-to” resource for the college recruiting process for the academic athlete, for all sports, providing recruitment advising at major TAPPS events. TAPPS member schools can contact the TAPPS/MCAA center located in Tyler, Texas for advising evaluations for their prospective collegiate athletes. “Together with TAPPS, I am thrilled to be able to expand the reach of our recruiting service to better meet the needs of TAPPS academic athletes. Many TAPPS academic athletes are “looked over, looked under, looked around, but never looked at.” “With my 25+ years as Athletic Scholarship Coordinator at Bishop T.K. Gorman Catholic High School placing over 180 academic athletes at various colleges and universities across the nation, I feel I can motivate these athletes “to succeed when everyone expects them to fail” in the recruiting process,” says Rev. Jerome R. Milton, director of MCAA. “This partnership with MCAA will help students explore the opportunities athletics offer for college acceptance and aid. The success of our student-athletes at the collegiate level raises the recognition and stature of our association across the country. Partnerships such as these add value to being a member of TAPPS,” adds Executive Director, Bryan Bunselmeyer.

In addition to the partnership, MCAA will be the title sponsor of the “TAPPS MCAA Weekly Coaches Poll”.
