GreenStone Farm Credit Services Unveils New Scholarship Program, $40,000 to Education EAST LANSING, MICH. (Jan. 7, 2015) - GreenStone Farm Credit Services has unveiled a new scholarship program and will award up to $40,000 to incoming college freshmen pursuing a degree in an agriculture-related field. Students attending a four-year college program can earn a $2,000 scholarship, while $1,000 awards will go to selected students attending a twoyear college program. Scholarship applicants must reside within GreenStone's territory, which includes Michigan and select counties in northeastern Wisconsin; must be a full-time high school graduating senior; have at least a 3.0 grade point average; and plan to study an agriculture-related field. In addition, applicants should demonstrate participation and leadership in school, community and agricultural activities. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 27, and sent to GreenStone's corporate office in East Lansing. Payment will be made after GreenStone receives a transcript identifying a successful completion of the first semester.
