The Faculty of Heath, Social Care and Education at Anglia Ruskin will ensure that you gain both the practical and theoretical knowledge to give you the skills you need for your career. This course is available for only UK, EU and EEA applicants. Due to restrictions in the availability of placements in the NHS (UK National Health Service) we can't accept nursing applications from international students unless you have, and can produce evidence of, 'Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK' and have lived in the UK for three years or more for reasons other than education prior to the course. This foundation course has been designed for students who would wish to study one of the following Anglia Ruskin University degree courses: •

BSc (Hons) Nursing – Adult



BSc (Hons) Nursing – Child



BSc (Hons) Nursing – Mental Health

On completion of the foundation course you will progress to First year of your chosen course.

Foundation in Nursing Academic Information Where your main course begins with stage 1 at CRIC you will do the following modules over two semesters: MAC100: INTERACTIVE LEARNING SKILLS & COMMUNICATION 2 Skills-based module designed to develop academic skills required for successful HE study. You will be required to pass all modules (120 credits) in order to successfully complete the foundation course, alongside the following requirements, which you will be supported through during your foundation course • • • • •

Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure Occupational Health clearance Successful Interview with nursing team (group and individual interview) Pass literacy and numeracy test Pass IELTS with a score of 7.0
