To support our expanding Higher Education portfolio, we are seeking to recruit an academic coordinator for our Liverpool campus. The Campus Academic Coordinator works within a dynamic, student centered environment that seeks to foster open intellectual inquiry, creative expression and the pursuit of lifelong learning. The Campus Academic Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of passionate and dedicated staff. This role is an essential management role working closely with the Campus Manager to successfully grow and enhance the operation and student experience. Liverpool SAE UK National Academic Quality Coordinator / Campus Manager

Primary Objectives of Job:

The primary role of the Campus Academic Coordinator (CAC) is to lead and manage the coordination and effective administration of approved educational programmes on campus, and to contribute to maintaining and enhancing the quality of the educational programmes within SAE Institute, United Kingdom. The CAC has academic oversight of all approved programmes offered on their campus, and ensures, in liaison with the Programme Coordinators, that the programmes are being effectively delivered, monitored and reviewed. As part of the Institute’s senior team the CAC is to ensure that the campus complies with internal national academic course standards, external regulatory frameworks and that standards ensuring equivalent student experience between appropriate SAE courses are effectively monitored and maintained. The CAC will ensure reliable implementation of approved academic policies and procedures in line with strategic priorities and organisational objectives and values. This role will assists the Campus Manager in the overall decision making and direction of the operation, working in as assistant manager and deputising for the Campus Manager as required. 2.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: i. To oversee the coordination and effective administration of academic courses offered by the Institute at a particular campus, and to coordinate the work of lecturing and tutorial staff assigned to those courses; ii.

Under the guidance of the National Academic Coordinator, to strive for national consistency in academic course standards and equivalent student experience between SAE Institute campuses in the UK;

iii.

To participate in and contribute to on-going curriculum development and review and assist in continuously improving programs and courses, to align with market needs and academic demand;

iv.

Liaise with the Campus Manager on to undertake academic staff recruitment and academic staff performance reviews for the campus;

v.

To ensure effective dissemination and distribution of published materials (hard copy and online) such as programme handbooks, module narratives and other approved information and materials for students and staff;

vi.

To be responsible for providing reliable, timely and accurate information and advice for students relating to learning, teaching and assessment matters throughout their course of studies, and to address and resolve course- related queries from staff and current and prospective students;

vii.

To assess the suitability of prospective students and students requesting course retake options, including the conduct of relevant interviews;

viii.

Ensure staff familiarity with the Institute’s policies and procedures and monitor their effective implementation;

ix.

Ensure academic staff familiarity with the Institute’s systems and processes inclusive of those used for assessment marking, attendance record-keeping, and academic record keeping;

x.

Oversee the scheduling and timetabling of all programmes at the campus including staffing and resource allocation;

xi.

Ensure that all administrative and assessment tasks associated with the delivery all programmes are completed on time;

xii.

Ensure the accurate keeping of all enrolled students’ performance using the Institute’s student administration system;

xiii.

Ensure that the Institute’s assessment and moderation policies and procedures are effectively implemented;

xiv.

Participation in examiners panel reviews;

xv.

Preparation and delivery of selected seminars and lectures;

xvi.

Chair the of Board of Studies;

xvii.

Monitor and report on academic staff equipment and resource requirements and requests;

xviii.

Attendance of relevant meetings, including staff meetings, and staff development sessions as required;

xix.

Preparation of relevant campus academic course reports;

xx.

Attendance of seminars, and events to maintain current Industry and sector knowledge;

xxi.

Represent and promote the Institute at formal events and open days;

xxii.

Other duties and project participation relating to academic support for students as requested by the National Academic Quality Coordinator or Campus Manager.
