Compliance and Data Officer £27,000 - £30,000 (depending on qualification and experience) Full time, Permanent Location U.K. SAE is part of the Navitas Group, which is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment.

Based in our SAE Institute Oxford campus, this is a key position in a time of significant change within the Higher Education sector and the developing ‘Data Futures’ landscape. The post holder will work with senior management to ensure ongoing compliance with SAE UK’s contractual and legal obligations, producing reports and management information, and recommending action as appropriate. The post holder will ensure the ongoing completeness and accuracy of student records and all information relating to enrolment, registration, fee payments and funding status, and will be required to prepare information for, and satisfy fully SAE Institute’s annual return requirements, including DHLE, NSS, HEAPES, HESA AP Record, KIS, TEF, Prevent and the OIA. As part of the DASS team (Directorate of Academic and Student Services), this position will ensure that that student data collection is timely, comprehensive, and presented in forms appropriate for internal and external reporting purposes, and that reporting documents are drafted as required. The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational and communication skills, and be able to respond to tasks, often with tight deadlines. Essential Criteria Qualifications/Training i.Degree or relevant professional qualification and continuous training and development in information/data management. Experience/Knowledge ii.Experience of working in compliance role and/or data management ideally but not necessarily in the education sector. iii.Understanding (and application) of relevant legislation relating to information governance. Skills/Aptitude iv.Exceptional organisational skills to prioritise and manage administrative processes and to undertake specific tasks to tight timelines. v.Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively through negotiation and influencing others. vi.Strong IT skills and ability. Desirable Criteria vii.Knowledge of safeguarding guidance and relevant legislation. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

Major Activities













Ensuring integrity of data to permit the provision of accurate information Preparation and submission of annual monitoring returns to key external stakeholders; Design, implementation and continual review of information systems to ensure the completeness and accuracy of student data; Development of technical processes to support the compilation of annual return data; Identification of outstanding data needs within SAE UK; Analysis and feedback of statistics to provide accurate management information; Developing and managing SAE’s retention schedule, ensuring it is aligned with sector and legislative requirements on retention schedules; Organise effective archiving of and access to all key compliance submissions and institutional documentation, and to maintain a central repository for records and documents; Assisting the Head of Quality and Student Experience with audit

Ensure compliance with external regulatory and funding bodies; Timely and accurate reporting; Report against agreed KPIs; Regular and systematic review of information systems informed by completeness and accuracy of student data through Navigate SMS; Effective oversight of technical and administrative systems; Effective performance of compliance and data management functions for SAE Institute; Maintain accurate schedule and calendar of SAE regulatory reporting.
