George was born to missionary parents in Brussels, Begium, and moved to the US at the beginning of WWII. After studying in the US, he returned to Belgium in June ‘52. Dora is Belgian and served with the Salvation Army in London and then Kinshasa from ’47-’54. They both taught (part-time for Dora) at the Belgian Bible Institute for 33 years. For 20 of those, George was the school’s director. Along with teaching, George led students in open-air evangelism and in three churchplanting efforts in the 50s and 60s. All of those churches continue today. George and Dora have been conference speakers in numerous countries over the years. The Winstons resumed church-planting ministry in the 80s and remain in that work. George has also had several booklets published on theological and Christian living topics (in French). Dora is now President of the Board of Formasport, a Belgian sports evangelism ministry. The legacy of the Winstons reaches far and wide in Belgium, and their 6 children and their families are all living and serving there to this day. George & Dora recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary!
