Girls on the Run of Charlotte MARKETING COORDINATOR POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator and consistent with the mission of Girls on the Run International, the Marketing Coordinator will oversee marketing and communications for Girls on the Run of Charlotte in Cabarrus, Lincoln and Mecklenburg Counties.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.  Manage council communication with parents and coaches via newsletters, emails and phone calls  Coordinate weekly social media operations  Design marketing materials for topics including but not limited to, participant registration, volunteer recruitment and council fund development  Assist with coach training logistics under the supervision of the Program Coordinator  Manage and update the Girls on the Run website  Support Program Coordinator with site visit coordination  Respond to all questions and concerns from parents, coaches and site liaisons in a timely fashion  Serve as a substitute coach as needed  Assist with any special events as needed  Contribute to the maintenance of the GOTR database  Troubleshoot and address any problems that may arise at any site  Implement GOTRI strategic plan at the local level

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES   

Serve as a role model for GOTR, exhibiting GOTR core values and working to achieve the GOTR mission. Develop positive relationships with volunteers, board members, community and staff. Any other duties deemed necessary by the Charlotte Program Coordinator, Charlotte Council Director and/or Girls on the Run International Board of Directors.
