Coach Agreement

I agree to:

Attend Coaches Training Attend a mandatory coaches meeting during the season Prepare for and supervise (20) ninety-minute lessons in a manner consistent with the Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo philosophy and curricula; this includes attending practice two afternoons per week for the duration of the program (approximately 40 hours total including being present 15 minutes before and after practice) Be a role model for the girls Not photocopy or replicate in any way any contents of the curriculum binder or any of the curriculum materials given to deliver the program Deliver each lesson in order and as written in the GOTR curriculum Wait at the school following all practices until all girls have been picked-up Plan and coordinate the end of season party for my team Distribute the program pre-and post-test as directed Release participants only to individuals named on their official registration forms in the release section following each GOTR session and at the GOTR 5k. Run/walk with the girls in the Greater Kalamazoo Girls on the Run 5k. Return all Girls on the Run supplies, coaches’ kit and curriculum binder. I understand that if I do not return all curricula and supplies to the Greater Kalamazoo Girls on the Run, I will be required to pay a replacement fee of $20 for the GOTR curriculum binder and/or a $40 fee for a coach kit that is not returned.

I will not deliver the Girls on the Run Program or any similar program unless I am working as an employee or volunteer of Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo; I may not create or help develop a program that has similar goals and structure to that of Girls on the Run International Program within a two year period of my involvement with Girls on the Run; I understand that all printed materials given to me are under copyright and may not be reproduced in any way unless written permission is received. This does not include materials that must be copied for the delivery of specific activities for the lesson plans during my volunteering with a Girls on the Run Program; I understand the curriculum/book and “coach’s kit” given to me for the purpose of coaching a Girls on the Run International Program do not belong to me. It is the property of Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo and I understand that when I am done coaching the program I will return all curricula and supplies to Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo. I, ________________________________(print) hereby agree to serve as Coach for Greater Kalamazoo Girls on the Run during the season with duties as set forth above. Also, I have read and fully understand the “Policies for Coaches” sheet and agree to follow all guidelines/requirements stated in that document.
