give them a good start. Producer New Hire Academy Firms don't always have the internal resources to truly develop early career talent. That's why we've developed the broker and consultant New Hire Academy, brought to you by Cigna Services for Growth and Cigna Sales Institute. Producer New Hire Academy is a two-week intensive training program for those in client-facing roles (producers, emloyee benefit analysts, client managers) who are just starting their professional careers and are new to the employee benefits industry. It was designed and developed by Cigna to provide participants with an engaging overview of the knowledge and skills they’ll need to be successful in the industry. The program focuses on general health care industry knowledge, carrier-agnostic and Cigna product solutions training and soft skill-based courses on topics like presentation competence and consultative selling.

Academy outcomes. The Academy is successful when graduates can demonstrate the following:



A strong understanding of employer benefit needs and variety of solutions



Professional skills that include consultative selling and presentation delivery



Knowledge of tools and resources to facilitate ongoing learning

Details. Participants will need to commit to two oneweek sessions*. Class size is limited so that each participant is ensured a rewarding experience. Training will take place:

Cigna covers the cost for classes, lodging, daily breakfast and lunch plus opportunities to network over the course of the two sessions

Early career professionals (strongly recommended) Currently pursuing or have obtained their Life & Health Insurance license Six to twelve months in a client-facing broker or consultant role Six to twelve months in the health care industry Dedicated to the learning experience Available to attend both weeks and be free of any other work and personal commitments during that time Responsive and willing to provide constructive feedback

What we need from you. Please have your employee's resume ready to review with your Regional Producer Relationship Manager. We want to make sure this training will be beneficial for them. We also want you, as their manager, to stay engaged. We'll want you to schedule time to discuss what your participant(s) has learned in order to continue to build upon this experience. *Enrollment is per group. Participants must be able to attend the dates scheduled for their group as dates are not interchangelable.
