Frequently Asked Questions Click here for our FAQ page online. Who can participate in the 5k? Our event is open to everyone! Spring 2016 GOTR girls and coaches are already pre-registered for the 5k and do not need to register. Anyone else interested in walking or running must register online by May 30 or register in person (for $35) June 3 from 4:00-8:00pm or June 4 from 7:00-8:30am at the Flemington Woman’s Club, 43 Park Ave., Flemington, NJ. If you would like to be a spectator, you do not need to register. Where should we park and when should we arrive? Free parking is available throughout downtown Flemington. Please see the next page of this guide for a copy of our Course and Parking Map, also available online here. Road closure information is posted online here. We highly encourage you to arrive between 7:00-7:30am to fully enjoy our festivities. Girls should be at their designated team site signs in the Village no later than 8:30am. What should we bring? GOTR participants should all wear their GOTR blue or Heart & Sole white program t-shirts to the 5k. Please be sure to eat a healthy breakfast, wear sunscreen, and bring along your water bottle and comfortable running shoes. Water will be available throughout the event. Light post-event food will be available after the 5k. Who will be with my girl on 5k day? Parents and guardians are responsible for their girls on 5k day. While coaches will be present, they are not responsible for your girl. It is up to families whether or not they want to run alongside their girl during the event or bring spectators along the route. Will the 5k be timed? Our program is noncompetitive. In that spirit, this event will not be chip-timed and results will not be posted after the 5k. However, a clock will be available for those who wish to time themselves. What if there is an emergency? There will be members of the Flemington Police Department and Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad as well as GOTR volunteers (in orange shirts) throughout the entire 5k course. All major roads will be staffed by public safety officers. If you are in need of help, notify a volunteer or emergency personnel immediately and EMS will arrive. Emergency contact information will be printed on the underside of each runner’s 5k bib. In the event of a major emergency, Council staff may also use our emergency text message system, which parents signed up for (or waived) during program registration. Please be sure your and emergency contacts’ cell phones are turned on (including on vibrate) during the 5k. How do I find my girl after the 5k? After crossing the finish line and grabbing food, girls and families should make their way to their team site sign at the GOTR Village to meet up. If you cannot find your girl, go to a volunteer or EMS personnel for help. Lost child meet-up will be at the Flemington Woman’s Club. What if it rains or storms? Can I have a refund? Our 5k is a rain-or-shine event and will only be cancelled in case of severe or threatening conditions. If severe conditions exist on 5k day, we will post information on our website, www.gotrhunterdon.org and, if necessary, send out information via our emergency alert system. No refunds will be granted for the 5k. Event registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Will you have Girls on the Run merchandise for sale? Yes! Our popular boutique will be back! Our shop will be open from 7:00-11:00am on 5k day and we accept cash and credit cards.

For Coaches Coaches, we could not have this program or event without you! Thank you for all you have done with and for us this season!
