Jesus – His example & His teachings The gospels speak of Jesus not only as Redeemer but as an example to follow, and as someone who reveals who God is, what God values and what His plans are. This week’s passages contain several teachings – His amazing love & forgiveness, being other-centred (vs selfcentred), and about being a servant like Him. As you approach Him and His truths this week in your conversations, reflect on your posture towards Him. Are you open and listening? Are you distracted, disinterested? What do you feel in prayer– grateful? Bored? Dutiful? Have a conversation with Him on your observation. The World Prayer Movement Pray:  We will all be inspired by those new in the faith, and pray for their continuing joy and excitement in following Jesus.  The Spirit will bring new life so that as we pray, we will exercise a dynamic faith for God to meet our particular needs.

As various prayer movements (including community- and business-based prayer groups) spring up around the world, let us pray for their leaders to have biblical wisdom and godly counsel in their leading.

Malaysia: Peace & Protection Pray:  For a strong hedge of protection around the nation during this time of national decision.  Against agent provocateurs or enemies planning to incite trouble before, during and after the elections to prevent or delay the election, or delay a new government from being formed.  That political parties and their candidates, workers and supporters will be civil and respectful towards one another, and accept the polling results, regardless of the outcome, and not undermine the peace of the nation.
