ORGANIZATION: Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts 3446 State Rte. 28 Blue Mountain Lake, NY 12812 JOB TITLE: Grant and Marketing Coordinator POSITION: Full-time, year-round based out of the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts (Arts Center) in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Arts Center seeks to hire a Grants and Marketing Coordinator to serve as part of its current management team. This person will help to promote and expand the Arts Center’s relationships, visibility and geographic presence through marketing/managing of existing Decentralization Grant program in Clinton, Essex, Franklin and Hamilton Counties and assist with general marketing needs of the organization. The DEC regrant program is funded by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and provides funding for local cultural and arts-related organizations to support and encourage artists and arts programs throughout Clinton, Franklin, Essex and Hamilton counties. JOB SUMMARY: The Arts Center is a non-profit multi-disciplinary arts organization dedicated to the production, presentation and promotion of arts, theatre, music, dance, sculpture, exhibits and more.

The Grants and Marketing Coordinator, supports the general marketing needs and promotion for the Arts Center’s programs, productions and activities and serves as the “face” and manager for all aspects of the NYSCA Decentralization Program. SPECIFIC DUTIES: To work with Arts Center’s management and Board of Directors to implement the Arts Center’s Strategic and DEC Cultural Plans.

The Grants and Marketing Coordinator manages all aspects of the DEC Regrant program for all four counties including development of grant materials; marketing of grant opportunities; conducting on and off site technical assistance seminars; overseeing selection of grant panelists; auditing scheduled events; and providing outreach to potential applicants and cultural communities. The Grants and Marketing Coordinator manages the Arts Center’s marketing needs including development and implementation of marketing plans for current and new Arts Center activities as they relate to web, print and social media outlets; identifying opportunities for donor and market growth through community outreach and partnerships; and assisting with administrative duties such as answering phones, serving patrons in the Gallery and Gift Shop, ticket sales, and event management, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS          

Bachelor's degree or related experience preferred in community development, non-profit organization, and/or marketing. Strong administrative and social media skills are required including design development, customer service and data entry. Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint required. Experience with DonorPerfect and Quickbooks very helpful. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly to diverse groups. Ability to travel. Ability to work flexible hours and on weekends and holidays when needed. Excellent attention to detail and follow through. Strong skills related to creation of email blasts, advertisements and social media posts. Must have excellent customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability and willingness to work a varying work schedule, which may include evenings and weekends. Ability to multi-task.
