GRAPHIC DESIGNER DESCRIPTION Providence is searching for a talented and experienced graphic designer ready and eager to use their skills to help encourage the people of PBC to reach our community and the world with the gospel and to grow them up to love and worship Jesus. Raleigh, NC is consistently one of the fastest growing cities in America and we can’t wait to see how God uses this position and this church for His glory. Full-time, non-exempt, 40 hours/week. Reports to the Director of Communications. RESPONSIBILITIES • Maintain a humble and “willingness to serve” attitude • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and limited supervision • Design and develop a wide range of projects from concept to completion (logos, booklets, apparel, promotional items, newsletters, signage) • Collaborate on design projects with ministry leaders and the communications team • Keep the Providence visual brand and style guide fresh and consistent • Work closely on project deadlines and expectations with the Project Coordinator • Create design elements for the web and social media • Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS • Be a born-again Christian with an active and personal relationship with Jesus • Participate in weekly worship and community at Providence • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience preferred • Proficient in Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) in a Mac environment • Have experience setting up projects for offset and digital printing • Enjoy taking on challenging and creative assignments • Flexible to work some evenings and weekends • Have a personable manner and be comfortable communicating with church leadership, contractors, and vendors • BONUS: Professional photography experience (provide examples in portfolio) • BONUS: Experience in website design (provide examples in portfolio) • BONUS: A degree in a design related field • BONUS: Previous ministry-related work APPLY
