Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School District, Massachusetts Request for Qualifications for Construction Manager at-Risk (MGL Ch 149A) The Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School District, through its School Building Committee (SBC), is soliciting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from Construction Management firms to manage the construction of the Greater Lowell Technical High School project, an approximately 500,000 gross square foot project in Tyngsboro, MA. Owner’s Project Manager: Joslin Lesser + Associates, Inc. Designer: Knight, Bagge & Anderson, Inc. Estimated Construction Cost: $50M Estimated Construction Duration: Project complete for beginning of 2016/2017 school year Scheduled Occupancy: August 2016 SOQ must conform to the requirements set forth in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). The RFQ will be available for download as of Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at www.jlaprojects.com. SOQ must be received before 2:00 pm local time on Wednesday March 27, 2013, at the following location: Joslin, Lesser + Associates, Attention: Jeffery Luxenberg, 44 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472. The Construction Manager shall be responsible for complete construction management services, including pre-construction, construction and post-construction phases as further detailed in the RFQ. Respondents must have prior experience as a Construction Manager on at least three (3) prior projects of similar size, scope, complexity and with a total construction cost similar to that of this project. A complete description of the evaluation procedures and criteria is provided in the RFQ. Prospective Respondents shall not communicate with any person or entity participating on the Prequalification Committee at any time during the RFQ process except through written questions submitted in accordance with the process outlined in the RFQ. The RFQ will be used to prequalify CM at risk firms that will be invited to submit proposals in response to a request for proposals issued pursuant to M.G.L. c. 149A, §6. The Request for Proposals is expected to be issued within approximately two weeks of the receipt of SOQs. Funding for the project has been approved by the Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School District and the MSBA.
