Greenwood Christian Academy (GCA) decided to forgo its traditional school fundraisers this year for something for service oriented. On November 21, student body, nearly 600 children aged 5 to 18, came together and packed over 10,000 meals for the Refuge in Greenwood and food pantries in Harlan County, Kentucky. They were able to accomplish this feet though the financial support of Raymond James, National Bank of Indiana, Cushman Wakefield, McCabe Orthodontics, Alderson Commercial, Home Bank, Stage One Dance Academy, Aqua Systems, Hays and Sons, CP Construction, Veal Insurance and other donors. At last count, GCA has raised about $100,600. In addition to providing meals for food pantries funds will also be put to use at GCA to benefit teachers, programs, and provide scholarships for students.
