Dear Parents/Guardians, We’re so excited that you are about to be a parent of a middle schooler! Whether you’ve experienced a child entering middle school before or this is your first time, it still elicits both anxiety and excitement for you and your student. Middle school, especially the 6th grade, is challenging because school work gets more challenging, social outings seem to increase, physical and emotional changes happen and it’s just an overall challenging year! We want you to know that you are important to us, and we want to offer all the support we can give. We also want you to know that we have a goal to love on and support your upcoming 6th grader! Our ministry thrives around pouring into others and digging deep into God’s word. We have so many opportunities and events to support, encourage, and equip your 6th grader and your family as a whole! We will begin this journey with an orientation breakfast on July 31st at 8:30 am in the Eagle Cafe. We will feed you and your 6th grader while giving you an overview of our ministry, let you meet their LifeGroup teachers, and learn about the opportunities you have a chance to be part of. We will end promptly at 9:30 to allow all of our middle school students to come in the Café for our regular Sunday morning big group time. Your student will stay in the Café. Please go to www.eagleslanding.org/students and click on the “6th Grade Orientation” tab to sign up so that we can know to expect you and your student. We do ask that just the upcoming 6th grader and their parents/guardians are there, unfortunately we cannot accommodate any siblings. We look forward to meeting you on July 31st for breakfast!
