Guidance Notes for Candidates Completing the Application Form Please read the following guidance notes before and while completing your application.

Completing the Application Form You should complete the application form in full. You should also keep a copy of your completed application as this may help you if you need to prepare for an interview. The following paragraphs give you guidance on completing the various sections of the application form. As stated at the top of the application form, all sections must be fully completed to ensure that your application is considered.

Part 1 Section 1. Vacancy Details You should provide details of the vacancy name and number for the position you are applying for. You will find the vacancy number within the job advert for which you are applying. Section 2. Employment You should include your CV with your application. If you are attaching a cover letter or any other supporting documentation, you must submit these with your application and give details in the box provided on the form. Your CV should give full details of all educational, technical and professional qualifications, with attainment level and subject area clearly defined. This information will be required to ensure you have the qualifications (if necessary) for this job. Your CV should also demonstrate your relevant skills, knowledge and experience in relation to the job vacancy advertised and the job description. The selection criteria are the skills, knowledge and experience which a person must have to be able to carry out the duties of the post for which they are applying. This is provided in the advertisement and the job description, so it is important that you read and understand these documents before you submit your application. If you are not working at the moment, you must show the date you left your last employment. You should cover as much of your previous employment as possible. If you have any periods when you have not been employed this needs to be explained on your CV.
