W/ Guide September 11, 2016 Text: John 16:12-14 (p. 902) Better than God writing The Bible for Dummies, the _____________ of the Scriptures Himself will guide us in really understanding, really grasping all the truth contained in the Bible.

It’s _________ we reclaim our Bible. Abundant life is totally connected to what? Hearing and following the ___________ of the shepherd. (Jn. 10:1-5,10) We have no business listening for God through other means if the _________________ and basis of our listening is not Scripture. If we are not interacting regularly with Scripture and growing in our knowledge of who God is through Scripture, we are setting ourselves up to be _______________ and to have life robbed from us. (2 Cor. 11:14) A few decades ago the enemy had the western world convinced there was no unseen, spiritual world, that we lived only in an empirical world that can be grasped by the ______________ and explained by science. Now we’re embracing more and more things spiritual (which is reality), but we don’t believe anything in the spirit world is ___________. We have to discern not just what is real or not real but what is true and what is ___________. And our discernment is based in regularly engaging God and growing in our knowledge of God through the Bible. (Mt. 24:24)

Quit reading the Bible and start ___________ the Bible. The Bible isn’t just a book to be learned; it’s God’s __________ to be __________. (2 Tim. 3:16)





Let the Scripture ___________ on you. God’s Word is living, and living things grow. I’m confident that doesn’t mean we should be adding to the Bible. It means God’s living Word – ________ _________ - is growing in me. (Hb. 4:12) If truth is growing, we don’t get it all at once. We grow step by step, ____________________.


