GUIDELINES • Be a committed member of GateWay City Church, including regular attendance for at least four months before interviewing. • Demonstrate technical excellence as a singer, musician or audio tech. • Singers & musicians should be comfortable on stage & expressive in their worship to inspire others to do the same. • Be consistent in tithing to GateWay City Church. Tithing is worship!
SCHEDULE Typically each band member will be scheduled 1-2 times per month and each vocalist will be scheduled once a month, based on our needs. Arriving on time and ready for practice is essential for each member! In order to present worship music that is both excellent in quality and anointing, an efficient practice is necessary. The more we practice, the freer we are able to worship prophetically and spontaneously! Sunday Morning Services: 9:30-10:15am & 11:15am-12:30pm 7:45am-9:00am: Band set-up, sound check & rehearsal 8:00am-9:00am: Vocal sound check & rehearsal with band Friday Evening Services: 7:00pm-8:30pm 6:00pm: Band sound check 6:15pm: Vocal sound check, prayer & rehearsal
DRESS CODE We want to promote a casual atmosphere, yet remain clean and not sloppy. Dress like you would going to a casual concert and look your best! Nice jeans or casual dress pants & ironed collared shirt or T-shirt or blouse. Dresses & skirts should fall at or below the knee (or wear leggings if above knee). No tank tops (without a covering). Avoid revealing or see through clothing. Nice shoes (clean with no scuffs or holes), no flip flops. Clean hats are allowed. Colors: Neutral colors are encouraged. Please avoid patterns that are distracting. *holiday colors are encouraged (ie: red for Christmas)
COMMITMENT TO A HOLY LIFESTYLE Worship team members of GateWay City Church are expected to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to God, avoiding the appearance of evil. Being a minister who is up front adds extra responsibility because people see us as examples of what a Christian should be like. Therefore, it is important that we consider the way we treat each other and carefully guard our hearts and actions from impurities and pride. It is God’s desire and the desire of GateWay’s pastors to see our worship team members living a victorious Christian life, free from bondages. If there are any addictions or issues with which you struggle, please let us know – we are here to help you, not to judge you. The following issues should be dealt with before any public ministry position is taken: Alcohol/drug abuse, sexual immorality, prideful attitude, anger issues, inability to submit to leadership, gossiping or any unbiblical lifestyle.
