Guidelines for Parents When bringing your child for Nursery care, a PARENT should: 

Go through the Check-In procedure at the Check-in kiosks in the lobby.

Provide in the diaper bag: 1. Extra diapers 2. Bottle, a clip-on pacifier (if needed) 3. One change of clothing

Pick up child within 10 minutes after worship service or class ends.

Sickness / Illness Parkview desires a “well-baby” Nursery! Parents will be notified to pick up their child if the child has one or more of the following symptoms/illnesses: 

A runny nose and/or eyes with colored discharge

Fever

Coughing, chest congestion or sneezing

Diarrhea

Vomiting

Questionable rashes

Please be considerate of other children and parents in determining if your child is contagious. If you feel your child is coming down with an illness, please do not bring them to the nursery. Medication Medication will not be administered by Nursery volunteers.

Volunteers Because our Nursery is staffed with volunteers, we ask that parents be involved in this ministry at least on a once a month basis. You may inquire at the Nursery or you will be contacted by the Nursery Coordinator to determine your ministry time. Crying Policy Your child will never be allowed to cry continuously for more than 5-10 minutes. The child’s parent will be contacted in the following manner: 

If you are in the Worship Center your child’s identification number will appear on the big screen.

If you are in a classroom, the Children’s Ministry liaison will contact you. It is imperative that let the Check-In volunteers know where you are located so that the Children’s Ministry liaison can contact you.

Special Notes 

PLEASE do not enter the Nursery itself as this adds confusion for the children, Nursery volunteers, and parents. Please remind siblings not to enter the Nursery.

Nursing mothers are invited to use the Nursing Mothers Room between Rooms 1 and 2.

Our Policies Identification Nursery volunteers are identified by name tags. Infection control All Nursery Staff are instructed to: 

Wash hands between each diaper change and wiping noses.

Use gloves when changing diapers.

Disinfect changing table after each diaper change.
