White  Paper  Plate Brown  Paint   White  Construction  Paper 1  Round  Wooden  Skewer Masking  Tape Glue Pencil Scissors Hole  Punch  

   

It’s time to create!

 

 

 

Step  1:     Paint  the  backside  of  the  paper  plate  brown  and  allow  to  dry.   Step  2:     Fold  the  white  paper  in  half  and  trace  hand  with  thumb  and  fingers   close  together.   Step  3:     Cut  out  your  traced  hand.  Fold  in  half  and  cut  a  thin  line  leaving  ¼   inch  completely  connected  at  the  top  and  bottom.   Step  4:     Fold  the  paper  plate  in  half,  painted  side  out.  Punch  half  a  hole  in   the  middle  of  the  folded  side.   Step  5:     Separate  the  cut  out  hands;  tape  the  skewer  to  one  of  the  hands,   then  glue  the  second  hand  over  the  top  of  the  skewer.   Step  6:  

Place  the  skewer  through  the  hole  in  the  plate;  tape  the  skewer  to   the  inside  of  the  plate,  then  glue  the  two  sides  of  the  plate   together.    

Step  7:  

Décor  the  sail  (hands)  if  desired.
