December 2014

Hanover Square Ticket Hall - Works Update Work carried out by Costain Skanska to construct the Crossrail Eastern Ticket Hall site is progressing well. The concrete slab pour at level -2 is now complete, as well as the bulk excavation to level -3. CSJV are currently removing the temporary slab within the North West Shaft. Throughout the remainder of December, to facilitate future works, CSJV will be constructing trial holes within the Hanover Square site to locate services and potential obstructions. In the New Year, initial works will involve the removal of piles surrounding the North West Shaft followed by temporary steel installations and slab construction at level -3. Lining walls at level -1 and -2 are also ongoing during this period. Costain Skanska will continue to work in the core hours of 08:00 and 18:00 and will endeavour to keep noise to a minimum. Please note that Bam Ferrovial Kier (BFK) will be working in part of the site close to Tenterden Street from early December until midJanuary. This area is highlighted in red in the diagram below. BFK’s work will be running 24/7.
