March 2015

Hanover Square Ticket Hall Works Update Works to construct the Eastern Ticket Hall at Bond Street is progressing well. We have completed the excavation at level minus 3 and constructed the main slab in three large pours; the last pour being carried out on 11th March. Excavation works to level minus 4 have also begun and expect to be complete by mid April.

Duration of work • CSJV working 07:00 until 19:00 with provision to work 24/7 where necessary

What to expect • Removal of excavated material from site by road • Break out and removal of temporary slabs and piles • Concrete deliveries for slab pours

What we will do

On 17th February, CSJV gained access to a short section of platform tunnels (from BFK) in order to install some temporary ramps and get them ready for the next phase of work. Over the next few months, all the Bond Street platform tunnels will be handed over to CSJV to begin the construction of a large portion of track bed and the platform support structure. Once we have completed all of our activities including laying the track bed, we will be handing the track side of the tunnels over to Crossrail’s system wide contractor; a joint venture of Costain Ltd, TSO and Alstom Transport who will install the track, overhead power and equipment to enable Crossrail services to run in 2018.

• Monitor dust, noise and vibration to keep it within permitted levels • Use wire cutting techniques for removing the temporary piles to minimise noise and vibration • Traffic marshalls on site to help with traffic flow and vehicle access
