Owned by local businesswoman and philanthropist Veronica Howell, Blush Day Spa and Salon is the future of salons and spas. “I wanted to revolutionize the very essence of a stereotype hair salon, quotes Veronica. "We wanted, not only, to give above average service but to educate and inspire our clients." This is approached by creating a fun and positive atmosphere for the client. Howell says the salon will feature environmentally friendly products and recycling centers to keep our planet clean as well as a state of the art color bar that features Matrix technology. “I researched the amount of waste coming from salons alone and was shocked. For example, foils are used everyday and we throw them away after using them. I had no idea that it takes over four hundred years as a minimum to break down foils if they are sent to landfill.” Hair clippings will also be recycled and donated to organizations such as Locks of Love and area farmers to be used for composte. Blush Day Spa and Salon’s commitment is on a global scale which includes doing the research that's necessary to make sure their products are safe, clean and toxinfree. This lofty and luxurious salon designed by the firm Creative Design and Remodel, occupies over 1800 sq. ft. of eco friendly hardwood floors and 20 foot ceilings. Upon entering, the reception area features sustainable stone and wood planks. With privacy as an important factor, a rock wall divides the reception area from the service floor. Full-length mirrors maximize the walls of the color, design and shampoo area. The top portion of the wide wall space is adorned by horizontal led lights in a vertical pattern giving the salon artistic but environmentally friendly lighting. One area of the spa will feature a Microblading Studio designed to give those affected by alopecia or cancer a more permanent solution to the hair loss side effects. Complementing this habitat of creativity are the stylists. Each having extensive background and proven track record in their field, they continue to research and practice new technologies and technicalities in hair constantly updating their clients look with the perfect color, design and proper care.
