“He took them in his arms and blessed them.”

Hands that Knit – Arms that Hold “You knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13b). “And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them” (Mark 10:16). Imagine, the hands that knit them held them and blessed them! Why would the disciples want to prevent such holding and blessing? Their intentions were good, I suppose. Maybe they just weren’t thinking. It may seem that abortion is the quick and easy way to help a woman in a crisis pregnancy. Our intentions may even be good. But we need to think. Jesus desires to call every human life into an eternal and blessed relationship with Him. Why would we want to get in the way of such calling and blessing? There’s a better way! We can affirm the life of both mother and child and be the arms of Jesus that love, forgive, support, and bless. If you know someone facing a crisis pregnancy, be the arms of Jesus. Direct them to a pregnancy center or have them call LFL’s Word of Hope at 888-217-8679.
