God still heals today, but he doesn’t heal all the time
Read Matthew 17:20 Throughout this series we have started with this verse. What new understanding or insight do you have on this verse?
Matthew 17:20 “…I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.”
Read Matthew 4:23 List all the reasons people were drawn to Jesus, don’t limit your answer to the reasons in this verse. What was it about Jesus? Why are people drawn to Jesus today?
Matthew 4:23 “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things that these, because I am going to the Father.”
The big idea from the message is: God still heals today but he doesn’t heal all the time. What’s your take or insight on the big idea from the message? In the message John talked about different kinds of healing: • Miraculous • Grace to endure • Ultimate healing Which of these have you seen or observed in your life or in the lives of people you know? Read John 14:12 As you read that verse, what is your response to “anyone who had faith in me will do what I have been doing?” Do you believe God uses us to heal or to be healed by others? What thoughts do you have as you thing about the part you can play in healing? What can you do to grow your faith? As you wrap up your time together, brainstorm names of people you know who need healing and pray for healing to take place. If you need healing, ask your group to pray that you would be healed. Pray
