A simple test: If you’re consistently running to anything to medicate or numb your pain and stress, rather than finding your help in Jesus, you’re in danger.

Most of us have something that we keep buried deep down inside, hidden from the light and others, because we just know if anyone else knew they would reject us and walk away. It’s that same guilt and shame that keeps us from genuine healing.

“Therefore (make it your common practice, your habit to) confess (admit, tell the truth about) your sins (faults, missteps, offenses, slips) to each other and pray for each other so that you may (live together and) be healed (restored, made whole in heart and mind, Heb. Refuah Shleimah – complete healing). The prayer of a righteous (approved) person is powerful and effective.”

Pastor Sam Adeyemi: "Sometimes, where you are used to may not be where you belong."

Isaiah 61 – “The LORD has anointed me to announce good news to poor people. He has sent me to comfort those whose hearts have been broken....[and] to announce freedom for those who have been captured. He wants me to set prisoners free from their dark cells….[and] to comfort all those who are sad. I will put beautiful crowns on their heads in place of ashes. I will anoint them with olive oil to give them joy instead of sorrow. I will give them a spirit of praise in place of a spirit of sadness.” (NIRV)
