"The presence of faith gives no guarantee of the absence of spiritual depression; however, the dark night of the soul always gives way to the brightness of the noonday light of the presence of God.” ~ R. C. Sproul

Generations of Grace Parent Guide

Three-Year-Olds through 4th Grade Sunday School Lesson Title: Jesus Promises Rest Passage: Matthew 11:20-30 (Family read portions) Principle: Jesus says to take up His yoke and learn from Him. Praise: “Jesus, Name Above All Names” Prompt: Ask your child: • Why is it dangerous to hear about Jesus’ miracles and not repent? • What does Jesus require of and promise to those whom He calls (Matt. 11:28)? Practice: Help your child apply these truths: • Come to Jesus when he is weary and heavy laden. • Take up Jesus’ yoke and learn from Him. Next Week: Matthew 12:22-37

We are honored that you have joined us for worship this morning! This is a group of people knit together as one body to delight in God and declare His glory. Whether you are here for the first time or have been a part for many years, may this time be a blessing to your soul. We are convinced this only happens by God’s amazing work and this is why He is the focus of everything we do in this service. Since it is God alone who changes lives, we are in a never ending search for more of Him. And while there are nice things in this world, there is no better, more perfect place to learn of Him than in His Holy Scriptures. This morning we will pray God’s Word, sing God’s Word, preach God’s Word, and hopefully be living examples of changed lives because of His Word. Our sincere hope is for you to worship God this morning, perhaps for the first time. We want you to meet new people. Even if you know most of them, meet someone new. May this be a time of connecting with God, worshipping Him in community, and connecting with others in ways that not only bring joy, but also bring glory to God.

My _____________ is built on what?

"And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Communication Card "Only when the burden of this life presses us to lodge our entire confidence in Christ and the blessings of the age to come do we not only find the strength to endure this life, but also recognize bright beams of God’s kindness even in our temporal circumstances. “Since, therefore, this life serves us in understanding God’s goodness, should we despise it as if it had no grain of good in itself? Only when we are made certain that our only hope is in the kindness, love, and mercy of God — and not at all in the circumstances of our lives now — can we begin to wonder at so many blessings instead of complain at the slightest adversity. When we are certain that the earthly life we live is a gift of God’s kindness, as we are beholden to him for it we ought to remember it and be thankful.” ~ Michael Horton

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

Today I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I would like information on baptism or need counseling on the subject. I would like a pastor to contact me. I would like information about:
