Heritage Praise & Prayer Guide August 26 -September 1, 2018

Sunday, August 26 • Daily Bible Reading – Esther 1-5 • Sunday Worship – Praise God that we are able to meet corporately and worship Jesus together! Pray that the message from God’s Word today would be (1) thought through during the week; (2) God would use it to stir our hearts to the importance of the church in our lives; (3) used to leave us with a better appreciation and desire to have the church be a greater part of our lives. • Missions – Pray for the ministry of Richard and Julia Rudolph (Servant Leaders—Germany). Monday, August 27 • Daily Bible Reading – Esther 6-10 • Our Mission (Growing Up) – Pray that we would grow up in our relationship with God. That we would (1) be able to think correctly about HIM by spending time in His Word; (2) that we would feel passionately about Him for what He has done for us through Jesus; (3) that we would live obediently out of our love and trust in Him. • Missions – Pray for the ministry of David and Dawn Spink (ABWE—Brazil). Tuesday, August 28 • Daily Bible Reading – Daniel 1-2 • Our Mission (Growing Deep) – Pray that we would grow deep in our relationship with other believers. That we would (1) be able to connect with each other throughout the week and encourage our walk with Jesus; (2) that we would serve each other in the ministries that we are involved in; (3) that we would care for each other both physically and spiritually as we practice the one another’s. • Missions – Pray for the ministry of Tim and Barb Vermilya (ABWE—Quebec). Wednesday, August 29 • Daily Bible Reading – Daniel 3-4 • Our Mission (Growing Out) – Pray that we would grow out in our relationship with our community and our world. That we would (1) be able to pray those that we know do not have a relationship with Jesus; (2) that we would invest all that God has given us with those who do not have a relationship with Jesus; (3) and that we would invite them to opportunities (outreach events, our homes, church, etc.) where they would be able to see what a relationship with Jesus looks like. • Missions – Pray for the ministry of Ned and Marisol Farnswroth (Liebenzell USA—Ecuador) Thursday, August 30 • Daily Bible Reading – Daniel 5-6 • Worship Team – Praise God for our worship team volunteers that spend a great deal of time preparing so we can worship on Sunday Morning! Pray that (1) God would provide a more permanent leader for this vital ministry; (2) people would genuinely worship Jesus for who He is. • Missions – Pray for the ministry of Mike and Shari Gockley (Extend the Gospel—Montreal).

Friday, August 31 • Daily Bible Reading – Daniel 7-8 • Adult Ministries Volunteers- Praise God for all of our Adult Ministries volunteers (ABF Leaders, Community Group Leaders, Teachers, Committee Members, etc.) Pray for strength as they continue to serve in a variety of ways. Ask that God would raise up more leaders to share opportunities to serve; (2) that leaders would continue to disciple others to get engaged; (3) all those who attend our church would engage in serving! • Missions – Pray for the ministry of Dave and Elizabeth Mayner (Campus Bible Fellowship— Binghamton). “Life is wasted if we do not grasp the glory of the cross, cherish it for the treasure that it is, and cleave to it as the highest price of every pleasure and the deepest comfort in every pain. What was once foolishness to us—a crucified God—must become our wisdom and our power and our only boast in this world.” –John Piper
