Heritage Praise & Prayer Guide July 29-August 4, 2018 Sunday, July 29 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 10-12 • Temptation – Pray that the message from God’s Word today would be (1) thought through during the week; (2) we would ask, as a church, not to be lead into temptation; (3) that we would continue to flee from what is evil and cling to what is good. • David and Janet McClain – Today is their last Sunday with us. They have served our church faithfully for over 50 years. Praise God for their example of faithfulness and love for the local church! Pray for them as they transition to their new life in Ohio. Ask (1) that God would allow them to find a church that they can invest in; (2) that God would raise up people in our church to follow their example; (3) that God would continue to give opportunity and bless their ministry in Ohio. Monday, July 30 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 13-15 • Heritage Christmas – Pray for those who are serving in leadership of Heritage Christmas, as they plan for this year’s event. Ask that God would give wisdom and willingness to those who will be involved. • Health Needs – We have a lot of people with health needs. Several individuals have been in the hospital. Pray (1) that we as a body would come around and encourage them during this time; (2) that God would receive glory; (3) ask that God would heal them. Tuesday, July 31 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 16-18 • Heritage Kids Sports Camp (August 6-10) – Pray for Beth Welman and other volunteers who will be involved with this outreach. Ask that God would (1) bring unsaved kids and families; (2) that God would use this to establish connections with our community; (3) we are asking God for 10 kids to be saved. • Weekly Prayer Groups - Praise God for all of the people who are committed to praying together during the week! Pray that God would use this summer series on prayer to draw more people to these groups. Ask that God would burden the hearts of our people to take their next step in their prayer life! Wednesday, August 1 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 19-21 • Heritage Student Ministries – God has been blessing our summer gatherings with unsaved friends of students in our youth group. Pray that as they build relationships with other students and youth leaders they will be drawn to Christian community, and ultimately a relationship with Jesus! Ask for wisdom for the youth staff as they prepare for ministry this fall. • New Church Website – Today is the launch of the new church website. Pray (1) that God would use this to help people get connected to our ministry; (2) that they would know what their next step would be and how to take it; (3) that this would be a good impression for potential guests and future members!

Thursday, August 2 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 22-23 • Our Pastors – Pray for Glenn and Paul as they provide spiritual oversight for our church. We live in a time where we desperately need to be discipled and to be discipling others. Ask that God would give them wisdom on how to help us become More Like Jesus. • Steve and Sabrina Marshall (Central Missionary Clearinghouse—France) – Praise God for the great summer opportunities for discipleship! We had a very great time with a mission’s team from the States. Pray that these relationships that were made would continue to grow and bear Gospel fruit! Friday, August 3 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 24-26 • Worship Team – Pray for our worship team as we are in a time of leadership transition. Ask that God provide leadership and musicians to help out during this time. • Visitors – Praise God that we have had several brand-new visitors in the past weeks that have returned! Pray (1) that God would give them a clear sense of direction; (1) that He would draw their hearts to Heritage; (2) that He would give them the initiative to take their next step. Saturday, August 4 • Daily Bible Reading – Proverbs 27-29 • Those Who Need Christ – There are so many people connected with our church that need The Lord! Pray (1) that God would work in their hearts and lives to draw them; (2) that God would give those connected to them boldness to share Christ’s love; (3) that they would see their need for God. • Visiting Missionaries – pray for our visiting missionaries Jonathan and Sarah Weber as they will be giving an update tomorrow. Ask that they would feel encouraged as they spend time with us. Kristi Walker will also be sharing about her time in the States.

“When the devil sees a man or woman who really believes in prayer, who knows how to pray, and who really does pray, and, above all, when he sees a whole church on its face before God in prayer, he trembles as much as he ever did, for he knows that his day in that church or community is at an end. “ -
