COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDIES “Thy Will Be Done” Ted Schroeder

(Books will be available at the Bible Studies: $2 each)

PRAYER VIGIL March 24th, 2018 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 24th, 2018, Trinity will be holding a PRAYER VIGIL. During this time we will be placing ourselves and our congregation in the hands of God as we enter into the Holy Week walk. The vigil will be held from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will be 30minute increments and you can sign up as a single, a couple, friends, a group, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for you to prepare yourself for the Holy Week walk.

We will be handed palm branches as we walk our own Palm Sunday walk. Come and help us celebrate in our own way what it must have been like to be a part of that first PALM SUNDAY.

EASTER LILIES Each year our sanctuary comes alive with Easter Lilies. This year you are asked to notify the church office by Monday, March 26th if you will be giving a lily in honor or in memory of someone. The lilies should be at the church by Friday, March 30th. You may pick up your lily after the 9:00 a.m. worship service on Easter Sunday - unless yours happens to be placed on the cross on the wall. If you plan on picking up your lily, let us know and we will try to keep it towards the bottom.

LENTEN WORSHIP SCHEDULE Each Lenten season we try to find a theme that will tie the struggles and suffering of Jesus as He faced His Crucifixion. This year we will be using the “Thy Will Be Done” series. During Lent we pray that “Not as I will, but as you will” as we seek to do God’s will in our lives. Each Wednesday service focuses on a different aspect of God’s will at work among us as we seek to do what God would like us to do. Each service will also have a children’s sermon

WEDNESDAY OFFERINGS

Trinity Lutheran Church Lent 2018

During the Lenten season, Trinity will not be offering Holy Communion at the Sunday morning worship services or the Wednesday services. We will receive Holy Communion on Ash Wednesday (February 14th) and not again until Maundy Thursday (March 29th). God’s forgiveness is not being withheld from you, but sharing of the Lord’s Supper will not be done during that time.

Wednesday Lenten Suppers 5:30 pm—6:15 pm Wednesday Lenten Worship 7:00 pm

Each Wednesday evening during Lent we will be taking an offering during the worship service. This offering will go into handling the costs of running the congregation, 7.5% of these offerings will be going to one of the benevolence locations that you, the members of Trinity Lutheran, designated at the annual meeting. If you wish to designate your gifts to a special location, feel free to include that information on your check or envelope.

(The worship services will each last about 45 minutes except the Ash Wednesday service.)
