Supporting the mental wellbeing of NHS staff during COVID19 During the peak of the COVID19 pandemic, healthcare staff may be placed into positions where they are asked to make difficult decisions, work under extreme pressure and practise outside their usual scope of practise. Staff will likely be faced with ethical dilemmas such as balancing their own physical and mental health needs with those of patients, how to balance caring for large numbers of unwell patients with limitations on resources, also how to balance caring duties for family with the duty to provide patient care.
