Root, Root, Root for the Home Team… The World Series, aka The Fall Classic, has been a part of our culture for so long that baseball is called “America’s Pastime.” If it’s at all possible to look beyond the billions of dollars involved in Major League Baseball, it’s a game played by kids on sandlots all across the country. A youth’s first visit to a pro baseball game, is a treasured memory for the rest of his or her life. Plush green grass in alternating light and dark stripes; the smell of hot dogs; the crunch of peanuts and cracker jacks; the shouts of the vendors; and the roar of the crowd are larger than life. In the words to Welcome to Brook Park! A recent winner of the Brook Park “Take me out to the Ballgame,” we sing our loyalty to the home team. As in Beautification and Pride Award, baseball, so it is in life; we should root for the home team. If we don’t take care of Humenik’s lush landscaping makes a great first impression on our own, who will? Humenik Funeral Chapel is proud to be on Brook Park’s those traveling into our city. “home team” for over 13 years, and for many more years to come. Joseph F. Humenik, Jr. Funeral Director
