Hungry Kids F Street Food Project

Sunday School Kids Make a Difference WeekEND Hunger Program F Street Community Center is committed to creating a safe, fun, recreation-based environment where children, adults and senior citizens can come together. They strive to provide services and programs that strengthen family unity, personal growth, health, and community awareness. Meals are served for children and youth during the week at F Street Community Center but not on the weekends due to lack of funding. Food is such a basic need! Children need to eat every day. For many children, the weekends are a scary time because there is no school those days where they can have breakfast and lunch! Children and youth would often come to F Street and stay all day without eating. Our Sunday School students are partnering with a non-profit called “We Can Do This” to help provide lunches over the weekend. Their offering donations, January–May, will be dedicated to this weekEND Hunger program. For each $2 donation, a child will receive a free meal. Stop by the lower level of Southwood to see how much money the students have raised, plus see the “Loaves and Fish Kitchen” to witness our students’ imagination in serving lunch to their friends and children in our community.

You can help the Sunday School students make a difference by

placing a check in the offering plate with “Sunday School Mission Project” in the memo line.

Love inspires us to joyfully do things we would not normally choose... like folding laundry or dusting!
